Improving learning by 400%
Research by the iconic brand company 3M, found that visual aids improve learning by over 400%.
This is one of the reasons that audiovisual systems have become so popular in both business and school environments.
Other research says that different people learn in different ways. By combining visuals and sound, we are in effect helping the attendee at our conference or the student to have more tools at their disposal in the learning process.
At DIB Audiovisual we’re passionate about designing, installing and servicing the best quality audiovisual systems that money(or your budget) can afford.
We’ve already discussed in previous articles, the importance of sound quality on how highly people regard or trust the source of the information.
You want sound to be of a high quality or you risk losing the regard or trust of your attendees or students.
But what about visuals?
Do we also see a difference if visuals are poor?
Well on the most basic level, picture quality is an aesthetic.
And I don’t think there would be anyone who doesn’t agree that aesthetics and beauty are at the core of the human experience.
Do you have a favourite flower, or animal, or painting?
This is aesthetics at work.
Simply put, aesthetics make us happy. On an emotional level they elicit feelings of happiness and calm. They connect us to our ability to reflect on and appreciate the world around us which in turn gives us feelings of contentment and hope.
And the converse would also be true – that a pack of aesthetics is going to make us less happy, less content.
When a favoured possession gets broken, when a plant dies, when the aroma of a perfectly cooked meal is replaced with the odour of sour milk?
We believe in high quality sound and high quality vision.
And we’ll do our best to help you achieve that in your audiovisual project.
