Over many thousands of customers and many years of designing and installing audiovisual systems, one of the most common things we hear is – “Your team really listened to our needs”.
For our team this seems like common sense, but it appears it isn’t all that common in business
today.
Our view is we can’t design the best system unless it is closely matched to your organisations
needs. Some really important issues for us are:
- who is using the system
- what are they using it for
- what types of lessons are being taught(in the case of a school classroom)
- is there a need to record and stream the classroom(more popular in this time of remote learning)
This is why the first thing we will do with you in designing your system is arrange a discovery
meeting where we will visit the site, and spend time understanding your exact needs for
the system we are going to install.
At this discovery meeting we’ll also take note of existing systems; the size and orientation
of the room; and any factors that might influence the quality of the sound or vision from
your equipment.
In a recent installation, it was noted that for some lessons the kids would be sitting on
the floor in groups. This prompted us to specify additional cameras and microphones
in order to capture the full ‘experience’ of the lesson.

So when we hear ‘your team really listened’, we know we’ve done our job.
