DIB was engaged by Mary MacKillop College in upgrading the technology inside one of their theatrettes. This aimed to update the existing projector system to something more efficient and effective.
Installation process
An Epson EB-685W projector was installed, wall-mounted at a high level at the centre of the wall space above the stage. Thanks to the projector’s 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness output, displayed images are both vivid and bright, ensuring readability regardless of the space’s lighting conditions. The projector’s ultra short throw nature means that shadows and glare are reduced – clarity at all times.
For audio reinforcement, DIB installed a Kramer 2-way speaker system. Featuring two 50 watt speakers, this speaker system can easily fill the entire hall space with audio. This means that sound coming from the projector can be heard by everyone.
As DIB is big on simplicity, a JED (T460) was fitted. With a focus on making the new system easy and simple to use, the panel takes all of the system’s important features and puts them in one place. The panel is set up with buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be displayed.
In terms of connectivity, the projector features both broad connectivity (HDMI/USB) and wireless connectivity (thanks to the projector’s advanced networking capabilities). DIB also fitted an additional HDMI input plate for easier access to the projector.
