Dandenong North Primary School is a family-friendly school with strong academic success. Originally located north of Dandenong, it is now closer to the city’s centre.
The school has modernised its facilities to match Dandenong’s development into a multicultural hub. In doing so, the school reached out to DIB Audio Visual to assist with planning their new gymnasium. DIB has maintained a long-standing relationship with the school for over 10 years, so we were excited to embark on this new project with them.
The school desired a space that could be used as a multi-purpose space to host whole school assemblies and sports games. To accomplish this, we gave Dandenong North Primary’s new gym a tech upgrade to enable visuals and sound during such events.
Fortunately, the school contacted us when the gymnasium was in the early stages of construction. This allowed us to work closely with the builders and architects to ensure infrastructure was in place to install the audio visual system as effectively as possible. However, due to the large space of the gymnasium, we still required products that would produce the highest quality sound and imagery, even from a distance. This is why we used not one, but two 180-inch Grandview SmartScreens and four two-way premium speakers. Additionally, we employed two high-performance projectors featuring HD resolution and laser light sources to deliver exceptionally bright images.
DIB’s priority is that all systems installed are easy for the user to operate. This led us to design a touchscreen control panel that would allow the user to control all functions of the system at just the touch of a button. This interface will even turn the system off automatically if it is accidentally left on, saving power. As well as this, DIB installed a streaming media processor to offer live streaming for those unable to attend school events in person.
Throughout all stages of the design process, DIB regularly checks in with the client to ensure we meet their needs. The tech upgrade for Dandenong North Primary’s new gym went so well the school reported, “The biggest stand out was communication, I was able to go back and forth with DIB with any questions and I knew they would be answered with knowledge.”
Even after installation, DIB continues to support its customers and ensure their satisfaction.
