Refurbished AV system for Bulleen Heights hall

With campuses in Bulleen and Lower Templestowe, Bulleen Heights School is a specialist school for students with autism spectrum disorder. Bulleen Heights strives to prepare its students for life beyond the classroom, fostering a safe learning environment where students are encouraged and supported during the development of social, academic and physical skills.

Bulleen Heights worked with DIB in upgrading the AV system in their hall, adding better and more effective technological resources within the space.

Installation process

An EPSON EB-2155W Installation Projector was installed in the hall. With 5,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and WXGA widescreen resolution, this projector create ultra-bright images that are essential for large spaces such as halls and gyms. Brighter images ensure that the displayed content can be seen regardless of how far someone is from the projection. The projector is also simple and easy to set-up and use, as the projector automatically sets up and adjusts the screen and the focus for the user. A motorised 120″ Grandview projector screen was also installed for use with the projector.

For more effective audio reinforcement, DIB installed four Community DS8 loudspeakers in the hall. These high-quality speakers, which are wall mounted in various areas of the hall, are contained in low profile, compact enclosures that doesn’t reduce sound quality and intelligibility.

DIB also installed a Mipro ACT3 wireless microphone system, which can be used during assemblies or presentations. An additional microphone socket was fitted so that another microphone can be connected if needed.

As DIB is big on simplicity, DIB installed a JED (T440) wall panel. This panel makes the operation of the new system easier, as it takes the most important functions of the system and places them in one central place. The panels come with buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume and select the source to be displayed. In the same vein, DIB also installed an AM ICON audio control panel. This panel ensures that users solely control the audio that they need on a day-to-day basis, rather than adjusting master levels, making for a simplified audio control experience.

DIB also fitted HDMI and VGA/input plates, allowing users to connect their devices to the system locally.
