Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre is a premier performing arts centre housing a theater, foyer, exhibition space as well as a number of multi-purpose function rooms. It has been open since 1994 and seeks to continually enhance the presence of the arts within the community. It houses a range of events such as Trade Expos, meetings, conferences, functions and performing arts events.
Darebin Arts Centre engaged DIB Australia as they wanted to makeover two of their function rooms, The Jacaranda Room and The Grevillia Room. Both rooms required the same revamp and as such the DIB team replicated the technology solution in both sites. The DIB team took careful consideration when selecting these products as they were required to suit the needs of the Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre staff.
EPSON EB-2055 Projector.
Installation process
Primarily, an EPSON EB-2055 Projector was installed. This projector boasts a wide range of features including Horizontal Keystone Correction in order to create a perfectly square image regardless of where the projector is placed in a room. This a key feature for the large function rooms. It also has 5,000 ANSI Lumens of brightness and XGA resolution to produce an ultra-crisp image.
Additionally, the DIB team installed an HDMI input plate to increase the connectivity of the new EPSON EB-2055. A Kramer HDMI matrix as core switcher 4 x 4 HDMI and Kramer pro audio de-embedder were also installed in order to have seamless audio and visual outputs.

In order to control the new system, a Joey Micro 9 simplified wall control panel was installed. This has the ability to turn the system on, off, select HDMI stream and the potential to join the audio-visual in both rooms. The easy control of both AV installs is a huge advantage as it allows for simple and easy use.
