Established in 1974, Mountain District Learning Centre (MDLC) is a Learning and Community Centre that provides access to programs related to education, skill development, friendship and enjoyment. In doing so, MDLC hopes to enhance the lives of men, women and children who engage in their programs, building a stronger, more supportive community.
DIB worked with MDLC in upgrading the audiovisual system for one of their rooms. This involves the installation of more efficient, effective projector system.
Installation process
Before the commencement of any installation, DIB removed any old equipment (such as projectors and speakers) as MDLC is a valued client of DIB.
An EPSON EB-685W was installed in the room. With its 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness output, this projector is capable of producing ultra bright, vibrant images. The projector’s ultra-short throw nature also ensures that shadows or glare that could obscure the displays are reduced. The projector features both advanced networking capability, which enables users to monitor, control and present remotely, and broad connectivity, including HDMI and USB inputs.
While the projector comes with in-built 16W speakers, DIB integrated the new AV system with the room’s existing audio system, providing audio reinforcement. Similarly, an existing JED T440 panel was re-programmed to suit the newly installed system. This includes re-doing button labels and the panel front.
A HDMI input plate was also fitted in the room, offering another way for users to connect their external devices to the system.
