Established in 1853, Victoria Police strives to provide consistent, effective policing services to the Victorian public. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Victoria Police takes pride in serving the Victorian community, promoting a secure, orderly and peaceful society where Victorians feel safe wherever they go.
DIB is honoured to have Victoria Police as a long-time client, and that they have come back for another audiovisual upgrade. This time, a training room for their OSTT department in Bendigo received an AV makeover.
Installation process
The training room saw the installation of an EPSON EB-1450Ui Interactive Projector. This versatile, multi-purpose projector perfectly anticipates the needs of any space. With features such as a whiteboard function (much like a standard whiteboard), dual pen interactivity, finger touch, and split screen functionality, this projector makes it easier than ever to hold instant meetings. This means that users can simply write on the projector and start the meeting without needing to open a PC. Another benefit of this projector over a conventional whiteboard is that any notes made during the meeting can be saved, printed or emailed directly from the projector, for everyone’s revision later.
The projector also features 3,800 ANSI lumens of brightness output, ensuring that the images produced by the projector are ultra-bright and clear (which is especially important for interactive projectors). Further, DIB installed a finger touch infra-red sensor, ensuring a precise and accurate experience when it comes to the finger touch interactivity of the projector.
For audio reinforcement, DIB installed an EPSON 30 watt speaker system. Comprising of two 15W speakers, the system is able to fill the entire space with high-quality audio.
To make the system easier to use, an EPSON EB-1450Ui Control Pad was installed. This panel facilitates the functions of the new system, notably the whiteboard function, with intuitive and user-friendly buttons, removing the hassle of needing to go through multiple remotes to find the right button.
DIB fitted a HDMI input plate and a USB wall plate in the training room. The former allows users to connect their external devices to the projector, while the latter can be used with the interactive functions of the projector, such as allowing users to save notes from the projector directly to a USB stick.
