Koonung Secondary College is a secondary state school in Mont Albert North, Victoria, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. The school takes its name from the nearby Koonung Creek. Its school catchment includes the suburbs of Mont Albert, Mont Albert North, Balwyn, Balwyn North, Doncaster, Box Hill, Box Hill North, Surrey Hills and Burwood.

According to Ian D Clark of the Federation University, the word Koonung may be derived from a Jardwadjali word – Kurnung – meaning hill or impediment or river – yet there is some debate on this, with other authors saying the word doesn’t not have a clear Etymology.
According to the Principal’s Message on the school website, one clear goal for student improvement that is embedded in the school’s mission is:

In this case, we were able to also install cabling and match the new projector to an existing audio system.
