Mill Park Heights Primary School (MPHPS) strives to be a welcoming, multicultural school that embraces different ethicities and backgrounds. MPHPS aims to shape students into lifelong learners who not only excel in future endeavors, but are responsible, valuable contributors to a global society. In having this vision, the school acknowledge the importance of technology in a classroom, actively ensuring that students have access to the best digital resources to help them throughout their schooling journey.
MPHPS approached the team at DIB with the desire to upgrade the AV system inside their Year 3 Gallery. After consultations, DIB formed a solution that fulfilled the client’s needs.
Installation process
For this project, an EPSON EB-2265WU was installed in the Gallery. With 5,500 ANSI lumens of brightness and WUXGA widescreen full HD resolution, the projector is able to display ultra-bright, vibrant images. This can turn anything projected in a more captivating spectacle. Users are given a myriad of ways through which they can connect their devices to the projector, from local connectivity such as HDMI and VGA to wireless display, which lets users project and control the presentation from a remote location. A 130″ 16:10 Motorised Grandview Smartscreen Projector Screen was also installed to be used with the projector.

While the projector has built-in 16W speakers, DIB installed a pair of Kramer powered stereo speakers to provide some audio reinforcement. This ensures that audio will not only be high-quality, but will be heard by everyone in the gallery. Further, a 3.5mm iPod / MP3 socket was fitted to give audio devices for direct connection to the speaker, allowing audio to be played without the projector needing to be turned on.

To simplify the operation of the installed system, a Joey Micro 6 wall control panel was installed. These panels combine and place all of the features in this new AV system into one place for ease of access/control. They usually include buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume and select the source to be displayed.
Separate HDMI and VGA/Audio input plates were installed, acting as another means through which users can connect their devices.
