Project Overview
D.I.B Audio Visual has partnered with Kingsville Primary School on several AV projects since 2013, providing ongoing support as the school’s needs have evolved. Their latest project focused on revitalising the school’s multipurpose hall, which also serves as a gymnasium for sports, assemblies, performances, and community gatherings.
The previous projection setup had become outdated and dim over time. To address this, D.I.B installed a 10,000 ANSI lumen Epson laser projector, delivering crisp, high-brightness visuals that perform beautifully even in well-lit spaces. Given the nature of the environment, both the projector and PTZ camera were securely housed in protective cages to prevent damage during physical activities — ensuring long-term reliability while maintaining full functionality.
The Lumens PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, paired with a Lumens LC200 lecture capture system, enables flexible recording and streaming capabilities. A preview monitor was also added to give staff full visibility of what’s being captured in real time, helping them manage camera angles and content during events. This setup allows the school to capture both live camera footage and presentation materials in side-by-side or picture-in-picture formats, making it easy to share events with the wider community — all managed seamlessly within the custom Extron touchscreen control interface (GUI).
The new Extron touchscreen controller replaces the older push-button control panel, simplifying day-to-day operation. Through its intuitive interface, staff can manage inputs, camera feeds, and audio levels with a single touch. This user-friendly design ensures that even staff unfamiliar with AV technology can confidently run events without technical assistance.
Complementing the visual system are impact-resistant FBT audio speakers, chosen for their clarity and even sound distribution across the hall. Paired with bluetooth wall plates, the system allows teachers to play music or audio directly from their devices — perfect for PE sessions, assemblies, or community events. All other components are securely housed in a newly installed AV rack, built for reliability and ease of maintenance.
The result is a dependable, easy-to-use AV setup that brings new life to a high-traffic school space. Kingsville’s refreshed hall now serves as a vibrant environment where technology supports connection, creativity, and shared experiences — a simple, reliable AV upgrade built for today and ready for tomorrow.
