Korowa Anglican Girls School is a high achieving P-12 school in Glen Iris, Melbourne. Korowa is one of the top schools in the state, with limited class sizes and a focus on the individual. They have long recognised the vast benefits that education technology can bring to the classroom and as such, have worked with DIB to install many modern audio visual solutions over the years.
Most recently, the school enlisted the team at DIB Australia to replace an outdated projector with a modern interactive whiteboard in one of their classrooms. After a DIB consultant worked with the school and assessed the space, an EPSON EB-595Wi Interactive Finger Touch Projector was chosen to head the new installation. This projector is one of EPSON’s most capable and feature-rich. It allows up to 4 simultaneous touches either using a special interactive pen or simply a finger. Using the projector feels natural and familiar functions can be performed as if you were using a tablet or smartphone.

Interactive projectors help to create more engaging lessons. They have been developed to the point of being highly responsive and relatively lag-free during use, while also producing a brilliant and bright display that can be easily viewed from all over a classroom.
The DIB team removed the room’s old equipment while utilising existing cabling where possible. Likewise, the new system was designed to take advantage of the previously installed sound system which was relocated to accommodate the new projector. An Joey Micro simplified control panel was reprogrammed to suit the new installation. By using this existing control panel. despite the new tech, teachers and students could still operate the system in a way they are used to and comfortable with. Taking advantage of existing equipment also works to help bring the price of the install down.
