Emmanuel College is a secondary school based on the principles of a Marianist education, with campuses located in Altona North and Point Cook. The College prides itself on providing top quality education to their students through employing well-rounded educators and quality educational tools. Their facilities are constantly being upgraded and maintained in order to expand and enhance learning experiences through technology. The school has a firm belief in “appropriate technology and engaging methodologies informed by good pedagogy” (Source Emmanuel College). They have engaged DIB in the past as their preferred audio visual consultants.
DIB Australia was engaged to inspect the site and liaise with the college in order to develop a custom made technology solution. The classroom which required the upgrade was decided that a new projector and projector screen was needed to make the room more technologically advanced.
The DIB team decided on the EPSON EB-935W 3700 ANSI WXGA Projector. This projector was selected due to its ergonomic use and high-quality image capabilities. Features of the EPSON EB-935W include 3 x brighter colours with 3,700 lumens of colour brightness. It also has HD capabilities with a widescreen, high-resolution image projected with 16:10 aspect ratio. With this projector you do not have to close the blinds or turn off the lights to see the image as it is luminous and bright in all lighting. A Grandview Motorised SmartScreen 120″ 16:10 Projection Screen was installed as a canvas to project the bright images produced by the EB-935W.

Additionally, a pair of 50W Stereo self-amplified speakers were installed to easily project clear, crisp sound. A Joey Micro simplified control wall panel was also installed to control the audio-visual system. The Joey simplifies the operation of the system and does away with the need for complex and easily lost remote controls.
