Music is a rich and diverse component of a Loreto Toorak education.Given their high standards in education, Loreto approached DIB Audio Visual to provide a quality upgrade for a number of classrooms including one of the school’s Music Rooms as we had previously upgraded a number of the school’s classrooms.
The music room was a unique room given it is located in a heritage-listed building so while trying to provide a modern teaching environment it was also important that the upgrade did not interfere with the room’s features and any ductwork required for the cable paths kept to a minimum.
Another unique request for this room was to install high-quality speakers with a wide frequency response as this space is used for the school’s music exams where crisp clear audio is essential.

To achieve this DIBAV provided a design that included a Wall Mounted Epson EB-710Ui Interactive Laser projector, projecting onto a 1.5m x 2.4m Slimline Low gloss whiteboard, coupled with a pair of Yamaha HS8i Active speakers and an Extron MLC62 Simplified 8 button wall control panel for input selection and volume control. This also included HDMI & USB input plates and a 3.5mm stereo audio input for connection of various audio devices for direct playback through the Yamaha speakers.

To ensure a quality outcome was achieved in this space DIB worked closely with the school’s property department during the installation phase to help minimize the ductwork required for the cable paths due to the wall’s solid construction.
