Viewbank College approached the team at DIB with the intention of installing new projector systems in two classrooms.
Installation process
Both classrooms saw the installation of an EPSON EB-685W projector. With 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness output, this projector creates ultra bright, vivid images that ensures lesson content is both eye-catching and readable. The projector’s ultra-short throw nature further reduces any glares or shadows that could obscure the clarity of the images.

To support the projector’s in-built 16W speakers, DIB installed an EPSON 30 watt speaker system. Featuring two 15W speakers, this speaker system acts as audio reinforcement for the projector system, effectively filling the classroom with sound. A 3.5mm aux socket was also fitted, which allows users to connect their iPod or MP3 device and play audio directly to the speakers, even if the projector system is off.
As DIB is big on simplicity, a Joey Micro 6 wall control panel was installed. This panel takes all of the new system’s main features and makes them easier to access. The panel usually comes with buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be displayed.

The new system offers a wide range of connectivity options, from broad connectivity (due to an installed HDMI input plate) and wireless connectivity (thanks to the projector’s advanced networking capabilities).
