Marian College is a Catholic secondary school, under the stewardship of the Brigidine Sisters that has been providing education for girls in Years 7 to 12 since 1957.
For this unique AV project there were two rooms for installation; the Food Technology Room and the Dining Room. Our Solutions Consultant, Gabi, worked closely the staff at Marian College in the design and layout of the AV system for the room. Not only was it unique in it’s application, but the design had to be easy to use for anyone using the room.

Evo3 dome ceiling cameras
The main purpose of the installation, was to bring the teaching in the Food Technology room closer to the students. This included two, EVO3 Dome Ceiling Cameras, which gives a birds-eye view of the classroom, so that students can easily see “what’s cooking”, so to speak. The Joey 9 simplified wall control panel gives the teacher easy functionality over the system, allowing them to select which camera or laptop input to display on the EPSON EB-575Wi projector at the front of the room. Inputs included HDMI (for laptop) and USB for interactive display connectivity for the Epson projector.
To make sure the teacher’s voice could be heard in this sometimes noisy environment, a wireless Mipro headset was also integrated into the system, for clear voice recognition. The simple functionality of the DVR recorder (one button record, one button stop) was also part of the AV system design to allow recording of lessons, with security measures in place to allow access to content only by authorised staff.
In the Dining room, the EPSON EB-575Wi projector and Epson 15w speakers were installed, with the Joey 6 control panel used for simple operation of the AV system.
In working closely with Marian College, DIB Audio Visual have created an aesthetically pleasing and simplistic AV system, which is user friendly for any staff member to use. It will continue to provide a great learning tool for teachers and students alike into the future.
