The school recently approached DIB about overhauling 4 classrooms in order to provide a full multi-media learning environment. They wanted a fully interactive setup where students would be able to contribute fully in lessons and where teachers could demonstrate concepts clearly and in an engaging fashion.
It was important that each classroom was outfitted in a consistent way so that teachers and students only had to learn to use one system and not multiple systems. Ease of use is a hallmark of a good audio visual implementation. The school chose the EPSON EB-455Wi as their interactive projector. EPSON’s reputation for high quality projector solutions and installed user base in education facilities makes them a natural choice for many schools. The EB-455Wi is an ultra short throw projector which can be installed very near the whiteboard without compromising the interactive component of the service.
They also used 50W stereo self amplified speaker installations so that movies, music, etc. can be heard clearly when required. This system also includes a BUZZ eliminator which ensures that the audio is extremely clear with no interference from the power supply.
Cabling to ensure full connectivity with a local PC system was installed in an unobtrusive fashion so that the functionality did not disturb the look and feel of the classrooms.
Overall, the school is delighted with the system they chose – they say; “We used DIB for all projector installs in our new building last year. The Epson interactive projectors produce high quality images and we have found them to be reliable and very functional.”
