Rio Tinto is one of the world’s largest metals and mining corporations. With some of the world’s largest and best quality mines and operations under its control, Rio Tinto strives to produce and provide materials that are essential to modern life. Materials such as aluminium and copper can be found in the technology people use everyday. Through research, which inspires further innovation, Rio Tinto is dedicated to pioneering progress for a better future. They aim to constantly meet the changing needs of society, whilst aiding the growth of economies and communities worldwide.
Rio Tinto engaged the team at DIB with the desire to upgrade three projector systems in their Bundoora meeting rooms. This revamp ensures that the workers at Rio Tinto have the latest equipment that will help them do more effective and efficient work.
Installation process
For all three rooms, an Epson EB-2265WU installation projector was installed. This projector is capable of producing ultra-bright and vibrant images due to its 5,500 ANSI lumens of brightness and WUXGA widescreen full HD resolution. Coupled with focus help, meaning that the projector will adjust the focus perfectly every time, any presentations displayed will be pristine and eye-catching. Additionally, the projector features a myriad of ways through which they can connect their devices: if users prefer to connect using wires, HDMI and VGA inputs are provided; if they’d prefer to connect remotely, there is also a wireless display option.
While the projector comes with built-in speakers, the team at DIB installed a pair of Kramer powered stereo speakers that serve as audio reinforcement. These speakers are able to fill the meeting rooms with high-quality, static-free audio.
As a means of simplifying the operation of the system, an EXTRON MLC Plus 100 IP Control Panel was installed in each room. This panel, which comes with an additional volume dial, condenses the functions of the new system in one place. They are typically designed to handle AV functions such as turning the system on and off, switching the input, controlling the volume and selecting the source to be displayed.
A HDMI connection direct to the new projectors was installed near the front wall. This allows for laptops to connect easily with the projector.
