The Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) is a national institution that focuses on children’s media production. The ACTF aid in developing children’s television policy, investing in Australian children’s television series, and supporting innovative, entertaining children’s media. The company plays a central role in developing valuable educational resources for schools nationwide. The ACTF strives to drive higher standards of creativity and innovation, and does so by utilising the best of technology to complement and augment their strong work ethic.
The ACTF approached the team at DIB with the desire to make small AV updates in their office. This involved the installation of a new monitor and a presentation system in the boardroom.
Installation process
For the boardroom, the Sony 75″ 4K HDR TV was installed. The monitor’s 4K ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160) means that it’s capable of producing vibrant, brilliant images that demand attention. The large, 75″ screen size allows everyone in the boardroom to see the screen, ensuring that nobody misses any important content displayed on screen.
Along with the monitor, a Panasonic Panaboard UB-5835 was installed. This 73″ electronic, 2 screen wide whiteboard eliminates the need for individual note taking in meetings. The whiteboard features a built-in printed that simply allows users to print notes. Users can also choose to save the notes as PDF files onto a PC or a USD flash drive should they choose.
For more effective conferencing, the CSC-1: Barco ClickShare Classic system was installed. This wireless presentation system is perfect for high-profile meeting rooms and boardrooms. The system can display up the screens of up to four users at any time. Sharing content can be done easily from a multitude of devices, from laptops to tablets and smartphones. This encourages all participants to get more involved with decision-making process. The system’s centralised operation and intuitive user interface means that anyone can easily access and use the system’s functions, limiting dependency on the IT department.
