Hume Central Secondary College‘s ethos is centered around putting the needs of the student at the foreground. Hume Central Secondary engaged the team at DIB and expressed interest in upgrading the existing projectors for nine classrooms. These upgrades aim to augment the learning experience within the learning space.
Installation process
In all of the rooms, an EPSON EB-685W was installed. Notable for its 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness output, this projector is capable of producing bright, high-quality images that ensure readability regardless of the lighting in the room. This is further ensured by the ultra-short throw nature of the projector, which reduces any shadows or glare that may obscure the images’ clarity.
While the projector has in-built 16W speakers, DIB installed an EPSON 30 Watt speaker system. These two 15W speakers are able to carry audio throughout the classroom with ease.
To make the system easier to control, a JED (T430) wall control panel was fitted in each room. These panels remove the need for multiple remotes for individual pieces of equipment, condensing all of the important features in one place. The panels are set up to include buttons that turn the system on and off and select the source to be projected.
In terms of connectivity, there are a variety of ways through which the user can connect their devices. The EPSON EB-685W features advanced networking capability (allowing users to present remotely) and broad connectivity (such as HDMI and USB display). DIB further fitted a combined HDMI, VGA and audio input plate for easy local connecting.
