Korowa Anglican Girls’ School is an independent Prep – Year 12 school located in Glen Iris, Melbourne. The school puts a strong focus on each student’s individuality and features a flexible student-centred curriculum. Renowned for their academic excellence, Korowa has a record of VCE success with 12.5% of students achieving an ATAR of 99+ and 48.65% achieving an ATAR of 90+ in 2015. These excellent outcomes are a testament to the school’s teaching and learning culture.
DIB Australia was excited to work with the school on a classroom projector upgrade for two rooms. Primarily, this involved installing EPSON EB-595Wi interactive projectors in each room. Interactive projectors are great tools to help teachers create more engaging learning experiences. Electronic materials can be shared and dynamically manipulated in real-time.
The EPSON EB-595Wi is one of the premier interactive projectors on the market. It features finger touch, allowing students and teachers to interact using their finger as if they were using a smartphone or tablet. Multi-touch capabilities mean that peers or students and teachers can use the projector to annotate simultaneously. The EB-595Wi is perfect for any classroom, projecting onto an existing whiteboard to create a giant touch screen. All EPSON projectors produce a brilliant display, with colours that are up to three times brighter than those of leading competitive products.
DIB handled every aspect of the projector upgrade, including removal of the existing projector, projector mount, and screen. The DIB team were also able to take advantage of existing cabling from the previous av system, integrating the new projector into this. One room had its existing wall control panel reprogrammed to fit the upgraded projector while DIB installed a new Joey micro simplified wall control panel in the other room.
