Interactive projectors for Apollo Parkways classrooms

Apollo Parkways Primary School strives to cultivate an environment where a thorough, stimulating curriculum is supported by a challenging but encouraging atmosphere. With a wide rage of facilities and resources at the children’s disposal, Apollo Parkways values life long learning, better preparing the children for life in a global community. Apollo Parkways acknowledges the importance of educational technology, integrating a wide range of computers and technologies into the schooling system to support the curriculum and establishing the use of ICT as a regular part of all learning.

The team at DIB was engaged by Apollo Parkways to install new equipment in eight of their classroom. This was done to improve the learning experience within these spaces.

Installation process

Each of the eight rooms saw the installation of an EPSON EB-685Wi Ultra Short Throw Interactive Projector. This versatile projector can answer any demand in the modern day classroom. The projector is interactive, meaning that it can turn a flat surface into an interactive touch whiteboard. Teachers can use this equipment to provide a more hands-on, engaging experience for the students that will keep their attention more than the stock-standard whiteboard. The projector is also self-calibrating and does not need any additional hardware to work, making it simple and easy for anyone to use.

The projector’s 3,500 ANSI Lumens of output and WXGA resolution means that the projector consistently produces bright, vibrant images that make reading off it easy and simple. As the projector is an ultra-short one, it is able to reduce the shadows and glare that may obscure the crystal clear nature of the images.

For audio reinforcement, DIB installed EPSON 30 watt stereo speaker system to ensure that any sound can be heard throughout the classrooms. DIB also fitted a 3.5mm audio socket, which will allow users to connect their iPods or MP3 players and play music directly to the speakers, even if the projector is off.

A HDMI & USB input plate was fitted. The HDMI input allows for users to easily connect their devices and start projecting onto the screen, while the USB input is built for use alongside the projector’s interactive functions, like saving notes from the projector directly to a USB stick.
