DIB worked with Doncaster Secondary in installing new AV equipment inside one of their STEM classrooms. This new technology hope to provide a better technological experience for staff and students.
Installation process
The STEM room saw the installation of three 65″ Philips Commercial Lite monitor. These full HD (1920×1080) monitors are versatile and can be used to suit the needs of the room, whether it be for display lesson content or for watching videos. The monitors were mounted using an LCD wall bracket, which features 5 degree of tilt for adjustment and finding the right angle.
While users are also able to connect their devices locally though the monitor’s HDMI/VGA inputs, DIB installed a Barco weConnect NCN-210 Collaborative Learning Output Node. The weConnect allows for wireless presentation, meaning that both teachers and student can present content from anywhere in the classroom from their own devices. This allows teachers to walk around the classroom rather than simply staying at the front. Teachers can easily control what content is displayed via a simple web interface.
