Parade College aims to cultivate a vibrant, diverse learning community where students are supported in their exploration and development of their passions and talents. Whilst aiming to encourage students to excel in all aspects of their schooling, Parade College hopes to shape young men into well-rounded, respectful global citizens, who will go on to make lasting contributions in society.
The team at DIB worked with Parade College on upgrading the AV systems of five of their classrooms. This project primarily involved the installation of new projector systems that would better meet the needs of the staff and students who will be using these spaces.
Installation process
Before the commencement of any new work, the DIB team allowed for the removal of old equipment (such as old projectors) as Parade College is a valued client of the company.
The EPSON EB-685Wi Ultra Short Throw Interactive Projector was installed in all five classrooms. Perfect for the modern classroom, these versatile projectors are valuable tools in the education sector. As the projector is interactive, it has the ability to transform a flat surface (such as an existing whiteboard) into an interactive touch screen.Teachers and students can use the special pens that come with the projector or their fingers to interact with any displays or projections. This adds an extra layer of fun and excitement to a lesson, thereby making it effective in raising student engagement.
Moreover, the projector’s 3,500 ANSI lumens of output and WXGA resolution means that the projector produces ultra-bright and colourful images, which is essential for readability. Thanks to the ultra-short throw nature of the projector, shadows and glare that may reduce the clarity of the images are reduced.
For simpler, easier use of the projector system, the team at DIB fitted each classroom with a Joey Micro 6 wall control panel. By placing all of the system’s essential features in one central place, these panels remove the hassle of having various remote controls and simply gives users access to the features they will use on a day-to-day basis. The panels are usually set up to include buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be displayed.
Various HDMI and VGA/Audio input plates were installed to give users some flexibility as to how they would prefer to connect their devices.
