St Bede’s College is a Roman Catholic school for boys that has been setting a high standard for secondary education ever since its establishment in 1938. St Bede’s offers a wide range of co-curricular activities in addition to its strong academic curriculum. The school has a beautiful campus with great facilities. These include state-of-the-art IT rooms and multimedia teaching facilities. To expand upon the latter, St Bede’s engaged the team at DIB Australia for a new audio visual solution.
The project involved the installation of interactive whiteboard projectors with accompanying Apple TVs in seven of the College’s rooms and new displays for their student gallery. Working together, the DIB audio visual consultant and the College chose EPSON EB-595Wi interactive projectors for each of these seven rooms. This EPSON projector is packed with features that are perfect the classroom. It includes multi-user interactivity, allowing teachers and students to interact simultaneously. Furthermore, the EB-595Wi is finger-touch sensitive, meaning that users can fluidly and intuitively operate the device simply using a finger. The projector produces a great image with high brightness and contrast ratio. This ensures that students can easily see the display, even when classrooms are fairly bright.

DIB installed an Apple TV with each projector. Apple TVs allow students and teachers to connect their Apple devices to the projector wirelessly. This solution is very popular in schools where students use iPads, making collaboration and sharing easy.
Wall panels with HDMI, USB and VGA with audio inputs were also installed by DIB. Having so many options for connecting to the EPSON projector ensures that students and teachers alike can collaborate, regardless of how old or new their laptops are.
