Upgrades uplift Loreto Mandeville Hall
Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak is an independent Roman Catholic single-sex primary and secondary day school for girls, located in Toorak, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of many Loreto schools around the world, established by the Loreto Sisters founded some 400 years ago by Mary Ward.
Whilst Loreto Mandeville Hall has a long tradition and history, the school very much has an eye on the future, keeping the school up to date with the latest technology to support learning.
As the school says – “To become confident, self-assured women, girls need the right challenges” and access to the latest learning techniques is no small part of this goal.
The DIB team recently helped the school update some classrooms with the latest EPSON EB-1485Fi Laser Light Source, Interactive Projectors. These projectors are bright with 5,000 ANSI
Lumens as well as Full HD Resolution. The installation included a bundled EPSON ELPMB63 Ultra Short Throw Wall Bracket. We also installed and programmed an Extron MLC62RS wall control panel for these rooms. This panel simplifies the operation of the system and does away with the need for complex and easily lost remote controls.
We also installed a high-quality vitreous enamel slim-line whiteboard. These whiteboards
have a ceramic-type surface and are very flat which is ideal for ultra-short-throw and
especially interactive projection. This is a quality low gloss whiteboard surface.
These boards are fitted with a slim metal bezel for a very modern appearance.
Loreto Mandeville Hall – Art Room
In the art room, we specified an Epson EB-L520U Laser Light Source installation projector, complete with 5,200 ANSI Lumens of brightness and WUXGA Full HD Resolution. This was paired with a high-quality Grandview motorised projection screen.
This 110″ diagonal screen (2370 x 1480mm) was ceiling mounted to suit the room. These screens can be controlled by IR remote control or integrated with a control system.
Epson Speakers rounded out the install in these rooms – in this case EPSON 15 Watt or 30 Watt external powered speaker solution, depending on the room requirements and matched to the projector.
