St Catherine’s School is a non-denominational girls-only school in the inner Melbourne suburb of Toorak. The school has a proud history of high academic achievement, but also fosters strong leadership qualities through its Leadership Diploma in Years 9 and 10. Celebrating its 120th year in 2016, St Catherine’s School combines a proud history with contemporary thinking.
Having an ongoing existing relationship with staff at St Catherine’s, DIB’s recent summer AV works consisted of upgrades across a number of spaces, including drama and music rooms as well as regular classrooms.
DIB Consultant James Ridd worked closely with staff at St Catherine’s to determine the best AV solution in each space.
The main displays that were chosen were the Epson EB-535W projectors, with 3,400 lumens of brightness in a WXGA (16:10) widescreen format. The Epson EB-535W also is capable of producing up to a 100 inch image, ensuring all students are able to clearly see the display from any position in the room.
Custom-designed Joey Lite control panels were also part of the AV systems that were installed. Both HDMI and VGA (+audio) inputs were installed to provide maximum flexibility for the user in the space. The interactivity of the Epson EB-535W is supplied via the USB input.
What a treat is in store for the students at St Catherine’s when they return in Term 1, with the NEW Epson EB-535W projectors creating new learning opportunities for students and teachers alike!
