Caulfiled Grammar’s junior campus in Malvern is embracing collaborative classroom technology to maximise the learning effectiveness of existing technologies (such as iPads) and practice. After extensive review with the E-Learning team member’s on campus DIB was pleased to assist with the deployment of this technology into classroom upgrades by the campus.
DIB Audio Visual assisted the Malvern E-Learning leaders with the design and setup of new learning spaces specifically designed to provide for enhanced collaboration. The Collaborative classroom technology made use of the EPSON EB-1430wi MeetingMate series of finger touch interactive projectors. Coupled with local HDMI input and Apple TV for wireless connection of the schools many Ipad devices. Also included as simplified control via the Extron MLC62 control panel and enhanced classroom sound through the use of the Apart powered classroom speakers.
DIB Audio Visual took care of all aspects of the installation from relocation of network (data) points, to installation of power and even upgrade of Whiteboard surfaces to better suit the ultra short throw projection technology.
The EPSON EB-1430wi finger touch interactive projector features an Electronic whiteboard mode which allows full whiteboard sharing and collaboration with any HTML5 enabled device on the same network. This feature facilitates the collaboration between the student iPads and the teacher whom is generally using the EB-1430wi projector. This collaborative classroom technology can even allow the teacher to save and store workings for re-use with other classes and or distribution to the students as a PDF file format.
