Nar Nar Goon Primary School is a public primary school located in the rural Victorian suburb of Nar Nar Goon. This school is co-educational and caters to over 200 students. The school has recently undergone a major building program resulting in a total re-build of all administration and learning facilities. This means that the Nar Nar Goon Primary School offers premier facilities to help young children learn. The school notes on their website that “we are very fortunate to enjoy teaching and learning in bright, stimulating and flexible learning spaces, incorporating the latest in technology”. This shows Nar Nar Goon’s commitment to incorporating educational technology in the classroom.
As a result, Nar Nar Goon Primary School engaged the team at DIB Australia to come up with a custom technology solution for two of their classrooms. DIB worked to create an audio visual plan to suit the needs of the staff and the students.
Installation process
To suit the needs of the school, an EPSON EB-695Wi WXGA 3,500 ANSI Interactive Finger Touch Projector was installed in each of the classrooms. This projector has interactive capabilities and caters to up to four simultaneous touches. This means that up to four students can interact with the projector using speciality pens or the use of finger touches. The projector also has 3,500 lumens of brightness in order to make all presentations bright and engaging.
Additionally, a 1.5 x 2.4 m Vitreous Enamel low gloss whiteboard was installed. This provides a crisp white backdrop for the projector.
An HDMI wall input plate was also installed. This enables connectivity between laptops and the projector system.
