Kolbe College Boardroom – Planning a contribution to the global community
In 1941, Saint Maximillian Kolbe – a Polish Conventual Franciscan Friar – was incarcerated in Auschwitz Concentration Camp and later volunteered to die in the place of a stranger. For this courageous and selfless act, he was canonised as a martyr.
Kolbe College in Greenvale in outer Melbourne has adopted St Kolbe as their patron, and as a school encourages students amongst many other values to be mindful of the diverse local and global community, valuing inclusivity and respecting the dignity of each individual and all cultures.
The reader may not know the history of the term – ‘boardroom’ – but it has been in use since the early parts of the 17th Century and designated as a meeting place for elders in a society, group or company where they can plan the future, set direction and oversee performance.
It makes sense then to equip the elders or board with the right technology to do their job, and DIB Audiovisual was delighted to help Kolbe College with the upgrade of the audiovisual technology in their boardroom.
In this case, we installed an all-in-one video conferencing system – the Logitech Rally. Here is what Logitech has to say about this conferencing solution:
“Rally Bar delivers a powerful all-in-one video conferencing experience, featuring brilliant optics, automated PTZ, and high performance audio for midsize meeting rooms. With Rally Bar, video meetings can be just as natural and productive as face-to-face collaboration”
We also installed a no Touch CommBox 75″ 4K 24/7 Commercial monitor and a Joey Micro 9 – simplified wall control panel.
Kolbe College how has a flexible and effective boardroom that can be used for in-person, remote or hybrid meetings and presentations. With the right choice of components it is also a simple to use system for all users who can walk in, set up and run meetings with the touch of a button.
And this will support the college planning a contribution to the global community.
