St Paul’s Primary School strives to provide an education that empowers students. Students are molded into individuals who have the capacity and the skills necessary to manage and find themselves in a rapidly-changing world beyond the classroom. To best help students navigate their schooling journey, the school continuously revises their AV equipment, ensuring that they only have the most up-to-date technology.
The DIB team was engaged by St Paul’s Primary School and expressed an interest in revamping the AV systems in four areas. After listening to the needs of the school, DIB created a solution that would promote productivity in each area.
Installation process
Before the commencement of any installation, the DIB team allowed for the removal of old equipment (such as old projectors) as St Paul’s Primary School is a valued client of the company.
Two areas (which were both classrooms) saw the installation of a new EPSON EB-695Wi Interactive Finger Touch Projector. Due to its 3,500 lumens of colour / white output, this projector produces ultra luminous, vivid images with incredible ease. This serves to augment the interactive experience the projector also provides. With the ability to transform flat surfaces into an interactive whiteboard, students and teachers can use their fingers or the special pens to annotate on any projected displays. This adds an element of excitement to the conventional lesson, which is central in engaging students and boosting participation.

While the projectors come with built-in 16W speakers, DIB installed an EPSON 30 Watt stereo speaker system to provide a means of audio reinforcement. These 2 x 15W speakers will help carry sound throughout the classroom, and ensure that audio can be heard by everyone.
A Joey Micro wall control panel was fitted in both rooms to allow for ease of access and control. These panels are perfect for making the use of the newly installed system. They are usually set up to include buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be displayed.

In another area (which was the teacher’s planning room), DIB installed the EPSON EB-1460Ui Meeting Mate Finger Touch Interactive Projector. This versatile projector is central to any collaborative working space. With 4,400 ANSI lumens of brightness and full HD capabilities, this ultra bright monitor makes any displayed presentations and images crisp and crystal clear. The projector also imbues a layer of interactivity into the conventional meetings, allowing teachers to interact with the projector using their fingers or with the pens. This is perfect for getting teachers more involved and more willing to partake in meetings. The projector also features the ability to capture and save any notes written directly from the projector, which can then be emailed or printed out directly from the Meeting Mate system.

Much like the Joey Micro control panel, an EPSON Meeting Mate control panel was installed in order to simplify the operation of the projector system, notably to toggle the whiteboard function of the projector.

The final area (which was the principal’s office) saw the installation of a 49″ full HD LG Commercial Lite monitor. With its full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, this monitor consistently displays vibrant, crisp images. Coupled with its slim and neat design, the monitor seamlessly fits into any space.

A Joey Micro 6 wall control panel was also fitted in this office. This panel also comes with buttons that turn the system on and off, control the volume, and select the source to be displayed.

HDMI and VGA/Audio input plates were installed in each area to allow for flexibility in connecting devices. In rooms with an interactive projector, a USB wall plate made for interactive display was fitted. This allows users to plug a USB stick to use various functions of the projector, including saving notes directly to a USB.
