Installation process
An EPSON EB-685Wi 3500 ANSI WXGA Ultra Short Throw Interactive Projector was chosen for this project. These projectors are particularly suited for the classroom environment, as the projector features a special pen that can turn any whiteboard into a giant touchscreen without any additional hardware. The projectors are easy and intuitive to use for both students and staff, as the projectors are self-calibrating. They further add a hands-on experience, particularly with the dual pen functionality.
The projector’s 3500 ANSI Lumens of output ensure that projected images are bright and vibrant, making engaging and captivating to look at. Further, as the projector is an ultra short throw, less shadows and glare obfuscate the clarity of the images.
An EPSON 30 Watt external powered speaker system was also installed by DIB. This speaker system features an auxiliary input, which can be used to connect external iPod or MP3 devices and play audio without the projector needing to be open.
The projector has a variety of ways through which users can connect their external devices. The wireless connectivity of the projector means that users can monitor, control and present from a remote locations should they choose to do so. The projector also has HDMI and USB inputs for more local connectivity.
