The Koonung SC Amphitheatre
Before there was technology and 500 years before the first observations about static electricity by Thales – a Greek philosopher, the Romans invented the amphitheatre. Meaning literally a place for viewing from both sides, its modern use is any semi-circular theatre.
The Amphitheatre made it possible for spectators to see(vision) and hear(audio) the performances or speeches.
In the 21st Century, DIB Audiovisual uses the latest technology in projectors, speakers, microphones, screens and control panels – not to mention various amplifiers and streaming devices – to help our clients deliver high-quality events, shows and presentations.
One recent project was the installation of new equipment in the Amphitheatre of Koonung Secondary College.
After taking a brief from the client and having our solutions consultants assess the options, we supplied and installed an EPSON EB-1480Fi Laser Light Source, Interactive Projector with
5,000 ANSI Lumens of Brightness and Full HD Resolution.
Along with control panels, input plates, cabling and other ancillary components, the amphitheatre is now ready to support even better presentations and events.
The school has a very active calendar of events and clubs, so the amphitheatre will no doubt be getting a good work out.
Harking back to those Romans who first sat in amphitheatres to hear and see speeches, performances and other activities, we can see our two cultures are not that different.
We want to hear the sound clearly, and we want to see the performance well.
Our cup is full as we get to help our clients achieve these outcomes everyday.
