Bellbridge Primary aims to educate students in a learning community where they can be supported in their learning and step out of their comfort zone by engaging in new opportunities and endeavours. As such, Bellbridge aims to provide students at their school with a wide range of experiences to supplement their education using all of these ICT tools.
Installation process
The school enlisted the help of DIB Australia to update audio visual equipment in one of their existing classrooms. After consultation with Bellbridge, EPSON EB-695Wi WXGA 3,500 ANSI Interactive Finger Touch Projector was selected.This projector, with its Ultra Short Throw technology, reduce the glare and shadows that may obscure the screen. Additionally, the whiteboard is interactive, essentially transforming the whiteboard into a touch screen that children can interact with using their fingers or special interactive pens. This makes the use of the projector more fun and flexible, which is essential when keeping children entertained and excited. Further, the projector’s 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness means that the projector can display vibrant and vivid images that can again increase the projector’s captivating qualities.
The projector was installed with a wall mount. This bracket conceals any cabling within itself, giving the installation a neat finish. The universal nature of the bracket means that changing over projectors in the future will be quick and easy.

DIB also installed a vitreous enamel 1.4 x 2.4m (low gloss) whiteboard. These whiteboards are very flat and have a ceramic type surface with a plaster substrate, which works particularly well with interactive projection.
A pair of Kramer powered stereo speakers was also installed to suit the projectors. These speakers are able to fill the classroom with sound so every students, regardless of where they are in the room, can hear the audio.
To simplify the operation of the system, a Joey Micro wall control panel was installed to suit the system. These panels do away with the need for remote controls and removes the hassle associated with working a projector. The panels are often programmed with buttons that turn the projector on and off, control the volume or change the source.

A HDMI/USB input plate and iPod / mp3 audio direct speaker connection was also installed by DIB. The former allows users to connect their external devices such as laptops to the projector, while the latter allows for music to be played on the speaker system without the projector needing to be open.
