DIB were engaged by Camberwell Grammar School to create an interactive projector system in one of the school’s art classrooms. An Epson EB-595wi was installed in the art classroom. It has a high contrast ratio and state-of-the-art colour brightness to produce an image that is vibrant and highly detailed. This lets students easily read text and make out detailed diagrams from all over the room.
This projector is at the peak of classroom interactive technology. It allows for finger touch, letting students use the whiteboard as a massive touch screen. They can also touch the screen using special interactive pens. It supports multitouch, letting multiple people use the board at once, a must-have feature for collaboration and group work. With every installation, DIB ensure that the system is simple and intuitive to operate, no matter how complex. This was achieved at Camberwell Grammar with the inclusion of a Joey Micro 6 control panel. This panel has 6 clearly-labelled buttons which handle all aspects of the interactive projector system, providing a local and easy way to use the technology. A HDMI wall plate was installed to let staff and students connect audio and video to the projector system using just a single cable.

A set of in-wall speakers and amplifier were installed to handle the audio side of the system. These are constructed so that they sit flush with the wall, maintaining the aesthetics of the space. This combines with the ultra short throw projector design (where the projector sits out of the way, close to the wall) for a neat and clean result.
