Heathdale Christian secondary College located in Werribee has a reputation for outstanding educational methods and academic excellence. The college which has been operating for over 35 years is focused on enhancing skills and encouraging students to be life-long learners. Heathdale College approached DIB Australia as they were interested in updating a new audio visual system for 12 of their classrooms.
The brand new EPSON EB-695Wi ultra-short throw projector was selected to be put in each of these classrooms due to its top-of-the-range features and reliability. The EPSON EB-695Wi contains features such as high brightness and crystal clear image quality using Epson’s 3LCD technology. This projector also has impeccable energy efficiency and is capable of running for 10 000 hours in eco mode.

The EPSON EB-695Wi projector contains wireless capability which allows content from external devices to be easily connected and displayed using the new EPSON iProjection App. The content can be moderated by the teacher and easily displayed from either student or teachers’ devices. This encourages students to work both autonomously and in a team as they can work and share progress with their classmates. Further, the interactive screen is even more responsive than previous EPSON models. The projector has the capability to be quickly and easily controlled using finger touch and special interactive pens.
The DIB team also installed an input plate with VGA, HDMI, Audio and USB connections. This allows for connectivity with any style of device. Additionally, DIB installed a separate Audio Only input so that teachers could use the audio function on its own without having to input audio through the projector.

The Extron MLC55 Simplified 6 button wall control panel was installed to control the audio-visual setup. This control panel is simple and effective featuring clearly labelled buttons to control volume and visual display.

The DIB team coordinated with Heathdale College in order to make sure that all the audio visual equipment was installed in user-friendly locations within their classrooms. Walking through the classrooms and designing the system allowed for flawless installation and design that teachers and students are happy to use.
