Emmaus College is a co-educational Catholic Private High School located over two campuses in Vermont South. The College was started in 1980 and caters to many students. The school has a great focus on faith based learning and provides and encouraging learning environment. The college states that they “offer a broad technology rich curriculum delivered by quality and dedicated teachers”.This is evidence that technology is central to the Emmaus College’s curriculum. It is considered an important skill and resource for both students and staff. The implementation of technology, especially in a secondary school is necessary for students to learn in high quality and collaborate in order to get the most out of every classroom.
Installation process
When Emmaus College was looking to upgrade several of their classrooms, they chose the team at DIB to take on the task. In each of the seven classrooms they were updating they wanted to upgrade the projector facilities, audio and connectivity in order to create a holistic technology solution. In consultation with the College, DIB Australia selected the EPSON EB-1460Ui 4400 ANSI WUXGA MeetingMate Finger Touch Interactive Projector. This projector system is in a league of its own as it allows for meeting notes to be captured and instantly printed or emailed. These features mean that students never miss out on a moment of class as they can catch-up or review on lessons. The EPSON EB-1460Ui Meeting Mate offers an updated bright screen, the ability for simultaneous interactivity with 4 specialty pens or finger touch and the ability to collaborate from a remote location.
USB and HDMI input plate
The EPSON Meeting Mate control panel was also installed to easily control the projector system and ensure the meeting or lecture notes are saved. A USB and HDMI input plate was also installed into each of the classrooms to connect devices easily to the system. Additionally, a 4 speaker ceiling installation inclusive of MPA401 amplifier system was installed to provide high quality audio.
