Qanstruct is a privately-owned, leading multi-disciplinary design and construction firm that specialises in delivering industrial and commercial facilities tailored to the unique needs of their clients. Their recently completed headquarters in Kew, Victoria, exemplifies this commitment.
DIB Audio Visual undertook two major projects in this office: the auditorium and the full office spaces. The auditorium features a large curved LED video wall with a 2.5 mm pixel pitch, measuring 7.68 metres wide and 2.16 metres high. It includes a one-touch Teams room conference setup, a standalone video camera, and simplified transmission of 4K video, audio, and control signals, allowing for easy host switching while utilising high data speeds. Additionally, there are two ceiling tile microphones designed for large meeting rooms, such as the Qanstruct auditorium, along with two sets of column loudspeakers. We also installed a top-tier Augmentation transmitter system, which provides clear, high quality audio for the hearing impaired.
The office spaces feature smaller task rooms equipped with either single or dual screens, meeting rooms with larger screens, and a boardroom. The design of these systems prioritised simplicity and ease of use to accommodate multiple staff members. We installed the Tap Scheduler Booking Panels, which makes it easy to view meeting details and reserve rooms for ad hoc or future meetings. This purpose-built scheduling panel integrates with leading room scheduling solutions to help workers find and claim the right space.
We focus on delivering simple, high quality AV systems. Whether you choose to BYOD (bring-your-own-device) or not, each room lets users connect with a single USB-C cable, instantly launching Microsoft Teams without needing to adjust settings. The system features Tap controllers, microphones, and room booking, all designed for ease of use with built-in noise cancellation.
The projects took approximately 12 months as part of a refurbishment rather than a new build. The client, a large construction firm, prioritised simplicity and high-quality products. This project has served as a showcase for their capabilities.
The final result is a cutting-edge headquarters that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of modern design, providing both functionality and simplicity.
