Project Overview

Kilbreda College is an independent Roman Catholic secondary day school for girls, located in the Melbourne suburb of Mentone. The school has been one of our loyal customers since 2018.
At DIB Audio Visual, we take pride in upgrading all classrooms to the highest standards. Our installations are carefully organised to ensure a clean, professional appearance, with no visible cables. We maintain the integrity of the brick walls, throughout the process, maintaining the classroom’s appearance and ensuring lasting quality.
We focus on creating a simple control panel with minimal buttons. One of the key features is that all control panels are identical across classrooms, with the same layout in each room. This consistency allows teachers to feel immediately familiar with the setup in any room, saving them time by removing the need to search for or relearn the controller. We know that teachers are busy, providing the same intuitive user experience in every room is essential.
For projection, the school uses an ultra-short throw laser projector mounted on the wall. This setup allows teachers to write on the board without casting shadows and enables them to annotate directly over the projected images. For audio, we installed two 30-watt, 2-way stereo speakers, providing clear, high-quality sound throughout the classroom.

Regarding whiteboards, we installed high-quality vitreous enamel slimline whiteboards. These boards have a ceramic-like, flat surface that is ideal for ultra-short throw and interactive projection. The slimline edging finish minimises seam visibility when two boards are joined, ensuring a seamless look. Additionally, each board has a sturdy plaster backing, providing solid durability. Unlike cheaper boards that may warp or bow over time, these boards maintain a flat surface preventing image distortion.
