DIB Australia were recently enlisted by Metro Trains to design and create a presentation space for their Caulfield East offices. A DIB audio visual consultant worked with Metro to assess their needs and inspect the location, before designing a custom AV system to be installed. The presentation space installation included a projector, microphone system, control panel, and a lectern for speakers.
An Epson EB-G7200WNL projector was chosen as the display for the room. This model provides high performance with uncompromising image quality. It can produce a big image which makes it ideal for filling large venues. With 7,500 lumens of brightness, the EB-G7200WNL can be seen clearly, even in spaces where there is some natural light. Along with this, it brings Epson’s 3LCD Technology which allows their projectors to display colours three times brighter than leading competitors for an all-round impressive viewing experience.

The Epson EB-G7200WNL was installed to project onto a Grandview motorised projector screen. This screen can be lowered or raised at the touch of a button for easy operation.
The presentation space
On the audio side of things, three microphones were setup: wireless lapel and handheld mics, along with a goosneck microphone at the lectern. Together, these provide a variety of options for speakers whether they want to walk around the space, pass around a traditional microphone, or stand at the podium. The microphones and the projector fed into an audio system featuring four powerful 30 watt speakers subtly installed across the space.

To allow for easy operation of the entire audio visual system, a Joey Lite simplified wall control panel was installed just behind the lectern. From this panel, users can turn the entire system on or off with a single button, adjust volume, choose between sources, and raise or lower the screen. The buttons are clearly labelled with corresponding images which helps to make sure that the system is easy for anyone to use, regardless of tech expertise.
