Monivae College is a regional co-ed day and boarding school located in Hamilton, Victoria. The school has a long history of providing quality education outcomes. The school’s enrolment has grown significantly over these years and in response there has been a huge development of staff and student facilities. Monivae College came to the team at DIB Australia for the latest of these upgrades, involving the installation of two video walls in their school gym.
A DIB consultant worked closely with the school to ensure that this system met all of their needs. LG 55″ displays were used to create the two separate video walls. Each video wall consisted of four displays in a 2×2 configuration. These displays combine to form a two displays measuring 110 inches diagonally. The LG displays come with a super-narrow bezel around the edge of each screen of just 3.5mm resulting in a visually stunning, uninterrupted display.

Video walls are the best way to create massive displays without sacrificing picture quality. By combining multiple HD monitors, video walls manage to produce massive images that are of the highest detail. Video walls are also advantaged over projectors tanks to their high brightness. This is especially relevant for some school gyms where projectors may suffer due to large amounts of natural light. Video walls let you attain the best of both worlds with impressive image quality and stunning size.

Two Extron wall control panels were installed – one for each video wall. They allow staff to turn each display on/off, and select from the different sources. Instead of having to scroll through options, each possible source (AppleTV, Set Top Box, Bluray, etc.) had a dedicated button on the control panel for a more streamlined and simple user experience. The two control panels provide individual control over each video wall, giving staff the option to choose a different souce for each wall or only use one video wall at a time. This results in a versatile gym video wall solution that will provide a viewers with a breathtaking experience.
