Orchard Grove Primary School is high-achieving, medium-sized government school located in the leafy suburb of Blackburn, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
When OGPS were looking at upgrading the AV system in their GYM, they contacted DIB to assist with the design and installation of a system suitable for their needs. Having already provided AV installs for many different areas across the school, they were able to put their trust in our Solutions Consultant, Gabi, to work with them to create a system that would be simple-to-use and also serve the needs of the intended user group.

After much consultation, an AV system was created. Particular consideration was given to the ambient light within the space and size of image for the audience. An Epson Z series projector was chosen (Z10000), with a very bright 10,000 lumens. This was mounted securely in a cage to give robust protection to the projector.

To provide a large viewing area for presentations, a Grandview Motorised projection screen was installed, with a massive 180 inch projection area. A Lectrum L20S lectern was chosen to provide an high quality resources for staff to conduct presentations from. Closeby a custom-designed input box, recessed under the seating area behind the lectern inputs. This included inputs for VGA, HDMI and XLR connection for the microphones on lectern. Mipro microphones were chosen for their great quality and reliablity. An AMD amp, coupled with a Lab Gruppen E-series amp were utilised to give great sound throughout the space.

Finally, an Extron MLC 62 control panel was integrated into the AV system, for simplicity. This was hidden closeby to the front, but was easily accessible to any users of the system.
