It was another busy day at DIB’s Head Office, when we received an urgent service call from one of our clients. The problem was a potentially faulty VGA cable in a classroom AV system. As this was an urgent service request, a DIB technician went out onsite the same day to try and resolve the issue. The technician tested the AV system and found that indeed there was an earthing issue with the VGA cable (meaning it was faulty) and replaced it with a new VGA cable. As a result, the client was happy that the problem was fixed quickly and they could use the room again for teaching.
A faulty lead is not always the cause of connectivity with technology, there can be a whole range of issues that could cause the problem. However, if it is a flylead that is potentially faulty, a quick check could be made by using an alternative VGA lead to see if this fixes the problem. If this simple step does not fix the issue, then you may require the assistance of a qualified AV technician.
With many of our technicians having ten or more years experience in the AV industry, there is a DIB technician that can help solve your AV system issues.
