Dandenong High School prides itself on being one of the oldest and largest co-educational secondary schools in Victoria. With a diverse, multicultural community, Dandenong High School provides an innovative, high-quality education to 2,000 students. Dandenong High School strives to foster an environment where every student is able to succeed and reach their full potential, supported by over 200 qualified staff members.
As Dandenong High School’s learning spaces emphasise collaborative learning, DIB Audio Visual worked with the school to create an audio-visual system to satisfy this criteria.
This project comprises the installation of a new projector system inside three of their classrooms.
An Epson EB-68W projector was wall-mounted in each classroom. With 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness output, this projector is perfect for collaborative spaces such as classrooms as it can generate ultra bright images. This makes sure that any content displayed can be seen by everyone in the room and is easy to read. Additionally, because the projector is an ultra short throw, this minimises any shadows and glare that could lessen the clarity of the image.
An existing Joey Micro control panel was reprogrammed to suit the newly installed system. Control panels are essential in ensuring that the audiovisual system is easy to use. By assigning all of the important features of the system, such as powering the system, controlling the volume and selecting the source to be displayed, to easy-to-use buttons, this removes the need for multiple remotes for each piece of equipment. Such a hassle free experience allows teachers to focus on the lesson rather than dealing with technology.
While the projector features various ways to connect to it, from broad connectivity to remote connectivity, DIB fitted an additional HDMI input plate. This plate makes it easy for users to connect their devices directly to the projector and display their content from there.
