Ormond Amateur Football Club gets a tech upgrade

The Ormond Amateur Football Club is one of the oldest amateur football club’s in Melbourne, opened in 1931. Located in the Melbourne suburb of Ormond the Ormond Amateur Football Club is a premier club boasting skillful male teams as well as the newly introduced female team. This football club relishes in the community spirit produced in the team sporting environment. The Ormond Amateur Football Club, whose home training base is the Ormond Pavilion, uses the club house to create team strategy, conduct presentations and gather as a club. As such, the Club decided that a technology upgrade was in order so that the Ormond Pavilion could be used as a flexible meeting space.

In order to upgrade the Home Team Rooms in the Ormond Pavilion, the Ormond Amateur Football Club engaged DIB to create a technology solution. The team at DIB addressed the needs of the club and came up with a plan to implement useful technology within the team home room.

Installation process

The EPSON EB-685W 3500 ANSI WXGA Ultra Short Throw Projector was selected as it is ultra short throw. This means the image is uninterrupted by external sources of light, ensuring consistently high-quality images are produced by the projector. With 3,500 lumens, the white and colour light output is bright and crisp. This is perfect for the home team room as it is easily able to be viewed by all people in the room.

The team at DIB also installed a HDMI input plate connection within a close proximity to the whiteboard. This input plate allows for easy connection with laptops or other digital devices, ensuring the system can be used easily and efficiently.
