Fitzroy High School is a secondary school located in North Fitzroy. With curriculum programs that help students reach their full potential in their academic, intellectual, social, emotional and physical development, the school fosters an environment that promotes productivity, teaching students the “necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to successfully move on to the next phase of their lives in a swiftly changing world”. Because of this, Fitzroy High School recognises the importance of technology and its role in shaping the youth of today, equipping their classrooms with the best audiovisual equipment to make classes more engaging and interesting for students.

Fitzroy High School approached the team at DIB Australia in order to improve and update the audiovisual capabilities of two of their classrooms, giving their teaching staff another innovative resource to use during their lessons.

Installation process

The main project involved DIB installing a new EPSON EB-685W 3500 ANSI WXGA Ultra Short Throw Projector for one of the classrooms. This projector was chosen for the room because it has 3,300 Lumens, creating clear, bright images free from shadows or glare. This is perfect for displaying presentations or videos on a whiteboard, better capturing the attention of students and enhance their learning experience. DIB also installed an EPSON 2 x 15 Watt 2-way Stereo speaker system. This speaker system provides high-quality audio that would match the vibrant images produced by the projector.

DIB installed a HDMI input plate so that the projector can connect to external devices. Additionally, a Joey Micro 6 simplified wall control panel was installed to simplify the operation of the projector. This makes the projector easy to use because there are no remote controls. These panels allow users to turn the projector on and off and control the volume. These panels will even turn your system off
automatically if it is accidentally left on, saving power.
