St Catherine’s School worked with DIB on installing new AV equipment in 13 classrooms. After consultations with the client, DIB formed a technological solution that would best fulfill their requirements.
Installation process
In all of the rooms, the CommBox Interactive 80″ Touch Monitor was installed. This monitor, with its sleek and neat design, fits seamlessly with any modern classroom. With a touch area of 80″ and a display area of 75″, these monitors add an element of interactivity to the classroom, allowing for a minimum of four points of touch at any one time. The touch functionalities of the monitor are further enhanced thanks to the monitor’s combined Infrared and camera technology, which ensures ultra fast and accurate touch responses. In terms of connectivity, the monitor has local connectivity options (HDMI & VGA), allowing users to plug in their Windows or Mac devices.

Along with the monitor, DIB installed a CommBox Touchpanel control system and input plate kit. The system centralises all of the functions of the new system in one place. This makes it much easier and simpler to use, as it removes the need for having various remote controls.

For better audio in the classrooms, a CommBox Soundbar was installed. This passive 2 x 15 watt soundbar hangs directly off and below your CommBox interactive screen, which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it does its job effectively.
