Kilmore Assumption College had it’s first boarder enrolled in 1901. The college was a boys boarding school until 1971 when its first two female students enrolled, paving the way for a full co-education day school in 1985 and a co-education boarding house in 1995.
Kilmore Assumption has undergone a number of works recently in partnership with DIB Australia. This most recent project has seen 13 classrooms get upgraded with the latest projectors to give students the full multi-media education experience.
13 classrooms new equip with the latest Epson EB-685w
The projectors in this project have been set up to project onto the existing whiteboards. This saves on needing a dedicated projector space and makes it possible for teachers to use the whole white board when not in use.
Projecting onto existing whiteboards also increased cost savings as no dedicated projector screens were required.
The projector for the modern collaborative classroom
The Epson EB-685w is a short throw projector designed for the classrooms of today. Its wide angle lens can project a screen of 100 inches from just 28 centimetres away, with a brightness strong enough to combat glare and fading- even in direct sunlight.
Four devices can be connected to the projector wirelessly at the same time, allowing for collaborative sharing and presenting. Teachers are no longer bound to computers to present and can work together to present multiple sources from multiple devices.
Just another step to bring students the best resources
DIB has worked with Assumption College multiple times in the ongoing race to keep up with technology. It seems like a new technological breakthrough is happening every day and students deserve to be at the forefront of that innovation as much as possible.
These projectors are just one step towards giving students the best possible education experience and exposing them to the sort of technology they will use in the working world.
