EPSON EB-1970W

EPSON EB-170W AV Upgrade for Padua College Conference Room

Padua College have been bringing high quality Catholic education to students across their long lineage tracing back to 1898. The school embraced the benefits that education technology bring to the classroom with an iPad program running for year 7’s and above. On this occasion they enlisted the team at DIB Australia to provide an audio visual solution including a projector for a conference room at the Tyabb Campus.

An EPSON EB-1970W was the main feature of this conference room installation. It is the meeting room projector of choice for many schools and businesses, providing a great viewing experience at a an affordable price. It projects a clear and highly detailed image with 5,000 lumens of brightness. This means that the projector can be easily viewed in many lighting conditions. To complete the package, the EB-1970W comes with a reassuring 3 year warranty. A motorised projector screen and set ceiling speakers were installed to complete the projector system.

A Joey Micro wall control panel was installed. This control panel was specially programmed by the DIB team to provide a user friendly way of operating the new system. As shown in the image below, it encompasses all the essential functions for the meeting room projector system including turning the system on/off, selecting source, and controlling volume. Every aspect of the Joey Micro control panel is about making your audio visual system easy to use. LED lights next to the buttons help to provide clarity as to which state the system is in. The panel detects when the projector is no longer in use and will turn it off automatically. Finally, the panel was also configured so that it would raise or lower the motorised projector screen as the system turns off or on respectively.

HDMI and VGA with audio wall inputs were installed. HDMI is often favoured for its higher video quality and ability to carry both video and audio signals with one cable. However, in many cases VGA still suffices and providing an input for it was important so that older devices could also connect to the system.
