Presbyterian Ladies College has been renowned as a leader in girls’ education for over 140 years. Immersed in a Christian environment, the girls are encouraged to develop a respect and concern for others, to acquire leadership skills and self-discipline and to have a sensitive, informed understanding of other cultures. DIB has worked closely with PLC for over 6 years for all of their audio visual needs, and was approached to design and future proof an interactive system for their Multi Purpose Room.
EPSON EB-696Ui Interactive Projector in Multi Purpose Room
An EPSON EB-696Ui Interactive Finger Touch Projector was installed. The interactivity feature of this projector allows for multiple users to write on the surface with either their finger or the interactive pens. Two HDMI wall plates were installed, one to accommodate a Samsung BluRay player and the other for a seamless laptop connection to the projector. A microphone socket was also installed to integrate audio from an easily accessible location.

PLC also received a 3 year subscription to a VIVI wireless presentation system which allows teachers to display content from any device. A VIVI subscription also gives the students the ability to take a screenshot of what is being displayed on the board even with annotations using the interactivity feature of the projector. The system is controlled by an EXTRON six button control panel. This controller is used to turn the system on and off, select HDMI or VIVI and volume up and down controls. An AV rack was also installed to house the BluRay player, a CD/MP3 player, and a wireless microphone charging station. An Icon Control Panel was installed to simplify the audio component of the system.

The system was supported with a pair of Community 5″ 2-Way surface mounted speakers. These low profile speakers provide dynamic sound quality and excellent intelligibility.
